Tuesday, 2/27
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
458 Richards Hall
As mainstream consumers embrace technology and a wired world emerges, entrepreneurs and large businesses rush to launch new technology products and services. But which ones will succeed and which ones will fail? This session will outline the major mistakes companies make when launching new digital media products. We will illustrate these errors by looking at products like iTunes, Tivo, Sling Box, satellite radio, as well as other sites. Finally, we will outline the opportunities in digital media that lie ahead ˆ given the arrival of social computing technologies like social networks, blogs, social search, widgets, and mashups
